Hail,
This is Shiiver from Arcane Archivist zine. I have decided to periodically update this site with some information pertinent to the zine. Recently, we drove 6 hours down to Los Angeles, CA to sell at Born For Burning metal market. It was a great experience, although I am not a fan of cities or sunshine, we still managed to sell some zines/merch and most importantly, put some faces to names I had conversed with online. Since then, I took a short break from posting online, as the release of the zine had drove me into somewhat of a personal spiral. Thankfully I have found my bearings again and I am already working on issue 3. Though I cant yet say who will be featured in the upcoming issue, I will say that its bound to be the best issue yet... even featuring one of my all time favorite bands. All distro copies of the zine have arrived too, from that I have heard. In the future I do not know if I will be able to do international distrobution like I have in the past, as I lost a ton of money on international shipping with every wholesale order. In the future there may be a A.A. Zine European web shop and the rest of the world can buy direct. Time will tell.
Here are some of the albums I have been listening too lately:
Darkthrone - Transylvanian Hunger
Bathory - Under the Sign of the Black Mark
Kvist - For Kunsten Maa vi evig Vike
Mortiis - Era 1 albums
Emperor - Wrath of the Tyrant
Also, a new project I have begun recently is archiving early black metal music videos (1990 -1999). For better or worse, music videos have their place in the history of black metal. Even though some are horribly produced and generally hard to watch all these years later, I am determined to make the Arcane Archivist Zine YouTube page the definitive archive. I have about 30 ready to post and they will be rolling out weekly. Here are some that I have posted so far:
Hail to all patrons of A.A. zine...
